WHAT IS NEEDED FOR VEHICLE PICK UP?
- Valid identification card or passport and driver's license (at least 2 years since issuance)
- Cash or credit card to reserve deposit funds.
- Payment of the rental service according to the contract, which you can make on the spot in cash or by credit/debit card or confirmation of payment to the account (if previously agreed).
DEPOSIT
The amount of the mandatory deposit differs depending on the model of the vehicle you are renting, as well as the length of the rental period. At the end of the rental, the deposit is immediately returned to you, if it was deposited in cash. The release of reserved funds on the credit card depends solely on the User's bank, and the usual deadline is 5-10 working days.
RENTAL PAYMENT
Rental payment can be paid by cash or credit/debit card.
Payment of all agreed services is in advance, in local currency (RSD). The calculation of the defined rental in euros is done at the selling rate of Bank Intesa.
Rental can be paid through the company account, but such payment must be agreed in advance.
CREDIT CARD
You must have sufficient funds on your credit card for a security deposit. The credit card must be in the name of the user of the vehicle, ie the signatory of the rental agreement.
Cards we accept for deposit booking purposes:
- Eurocard / MasterCard, Visa Card, American Express
Cards with which you can pay for the rental service when picking up the vehicle:
- Eurocard / MasterCard, Visa Card, Dina, Visa, Maestro, American Express
DRIVER'S LICENSE
The driver as well as the additional driver must be at least 21 years old and at most 75 years old. It is necessary to have a valid identity card or passport and a driver's license for at least two years.
We do not accept beginner’s driver’s license.
Driver’s license that is not written in Latin or Cyrillic (Arabic, Japanese, etc.) must be accompanied by an international driving license.
RENTAL DURATION
Vehicles are rented on a daily (24 hour) basis. There is a 59-minute grace period, that is not charged. After 60 minutes, a whole day of usage is charged.
RESERVATION CHANGE
The reservation can be changed 48 hours before the start of the rental.
RESERVATION CANCELLATION
Reservations can be canceled before the rental period. The cancellation should be made online or in written form via e-mail to [email protected].
EARLY VEHICLE RETURN
In case of early return of the vehicle, the amount is not refunded.
COLLECTION/RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The vehicle is picked up and returned at Bulevar Oslobođenja 40, 11000 Belgrade, or at another, previously agreed upon address, at the agreed upon time. In case of delay, the client is obliged to inform SAFE rent a car, so that the reservation is not canceled or the theft is reported to the police.
FUEL
The vehicle is picked up and returned with a full tank. The fee for refueling is 20 €, plus the cost of the missing fuel.
MILEAGE LIMITATION
The default daily mileage limit is up to 100 km or up to 3,000 km per month. The price of each additional kilometer traveled is charged in accordance with the valid price list for the selected vehicle category. It is possible to correct the indicated restrictions when contracting the lease.
VEHICLE AND DAMAGE INSURANCE
All vehicles have liability insurance policies as well as comprehensive insurance policies. Participation in damage with comprehensive insurance is 20%, minimum 100 €. The amount of the minimum participation in the damage depends on the model of the vehicle, and ranges from 100 € to 1000 €. PAI (PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE)
PAI is additional passenger and driver coverage that covers the costs of treatment and emergency interventions in the event of injury or death.
SCDW (SUPER COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER)
SCDW is coverage that reduces responsibility to 0% in case of damage to the vehicle body.
IN CASE OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, THEFT, ENGINE FAILURE OR SIMILAIR, THE USER IS OBLIGED:
- keep the vehicle safe until it is taken over by the Lessor;
- take name and address of all participants and witnesses;
- call the police and procure their records, except in the case of motor breakdown
- give a statement as soon as possible about the event at the nearest office of the Lessor.
In the case that the user does not procure a police report, he bears the entire amount of damage, considering that he failed to comply with the provisions of the rental agreement and general terms and conditions.
COSTS THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY SAFE RENT A CAR AND CANNOT BE COVERED BY ANY ADDITIONAL COVERAGE:
- Loss or theft of luggage and/or personal items from the vehicle
- Parking tickets or fines, traffic violations and such
- Costs due to the wrong type of fuel usage
- Expenses for lost, stolen or damaged car keys
- Expenses for lost, stolen or damaged car documents
- Expenses due to negligence – empty battery
- Expenses incurred due to damage to the vehicle's undercarriage, clutch damage (so-called burned clutch), crankcase damage
- Expenses due to damage to the car’s interior
- Expenses for damaged/destroyed tires, rims and hubcaps
- Costs of lost equipment (spare tire, tire repair kit, bunker shelves, car documents, driver’s manual)
- Expenses due to damage to additional equipment
- Expenses incurred due to misuse of the vehicle for illegal purposes
- Expenses due to ignoring instructions for car maintenance stated in the car's service book
- Costs of loss of warranty in case of violation of service intervals of the rented vehicle
- Expenses to the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Costs of car extraction from inaccessible areas (e.g., extraction from mud due to traveling outside regular road infrastructure)
- Expenses incurred by driving the car off-road
- Expenses incurred by car racing or car’s participation in sport events
- Expenses due to overburdening the car with people or cargo
- Damage costs caused by a person not stated in the contract as the main or additional driver
- Costs created in cases when the main driver or additional driver stated in the rental contract does not have a valid driver’s license or has a ban on driving motor vehicles
- Other: damaged windscreen wipers or locks, loss or theft of outside parts of the vehicle without a police record, damage costs incurred by usage of roof carriers or luggage on carriers, damage caused by improper handling of luggage and/or putting cargo or luggage on the roof, hood, etc., as well as expenses caused by ignoring sound and visual warnings of the vehicle.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF THE VEHICLE DURING WORKING HOURS
Delivery/Collection of the vehicle is an on-request service and is possible for an additional fee.
Delivery/Collection of the vehicle in the city (or within 10 km from the nearest branch) will incur a fee of 10 €.
Delivery/Collection of the vehicle outside the city limits (for a distance of more than 10 km from the nearest branch) will incur a fee of 10 €, plus 1 € per kilometer.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF THE VEHICLE OUTSIDE OF WORKING HOURS
An additional fee of 25 € will be charged for reservations outside of working hours.
CROSS BORDER PERMIT
Crossing the border with a rented vehicle is only possible with the consent of SAFE rent a car. The user is obliged to specify the border crossing plan when booking or picking up the vehicle.
In the event that the user does not pay the additional fee, and the vehicle is damaged outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia, all additional coverages chosen by the user will not be valid and they may be charged for the total amount of the damage.
CROSS BORDER FEE
If you plan to travel outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia, be sure to select the fee for crossing the border. Vehicles have the territorial validity of insurance in the territory of Europe, with an exception for Kosovo. The fee for this option is 40 € per rental.
GREEN CARD
Exclusively for crossing the borders of North Macedonia, Albania and Turkey, the green card is mandatory. The green card is issued together with the fee for crossing the border. The fee for green card is 30 € per rental.
CHILD SEAT
A child seat is a legal obligation and needs to be used for children up to 12 years of age and 135 cm of height.
The user can rent a child seat of different sizes, and it is necessary to choose the one that best suits the age of the child:
Baby seat (0-18 kg) – 5 € per day (30 € max per rental)
Child seat (15-36 kg) – 5 € per day (30 € max per rental)
Booster seat (children height up to 135 cm) - 5 € per day (20 € max per rental)
LOST KEY
In case of key loss, a minimum fee of 300 € is charged.
LOST DOCUMENTATION OR REGISTRATION PLATES
In case of lost or stolen vehicle documentation / license plates, a fee of 100 € is applied.
The user is obliged to report the loss to the police and submit the police report to SAFE rent a car.
VEHICLE CLEANING
The vehicle must be returned in a clean condition, as you received it. If you return a dirty vehicle, a fee of 15 € to 30 € is charged, depending on the vehicle category.
In case the vehicle requires a special cleaning procedure after drop off (i.e. smell removal, animal hair, spillage of liquids), a minimum fee of 120 € will be charged.
SMOKING IN THE VEHICLE IS NOT ALLOWED
All our vehicles are non-smoking. The penalty for smoking is 120 €.
ADMINISTRATION FEES
If the client receives a traffic or parking fine during his rental period which hasn’t been paid by the end of the rental period, the charge of an additional 20 € will be applied.
The lessee is responsible for settling any traffic and parking fine issued during the rental period.
